Joso Vidal and Rose Moore met in Barcelona, Spain and married in 2005.  The same year, they set their first outdoor booth to sell their newly created hand painted shell jewelry on Calle Allada Vermeil in the Barrio Gotico of Barcelona.  After selling only $20 worth of jewelry that day, undaunted, they went back to sell again the next weekend...and the next.

Five years later, they do art festivals nationally and internationally, have sold thousands of their hand painted natural shell jewelry and continue to explore natural shell to create new and different jewelry designs.

 Rose says:

 "There is a light in natural mother of pearl shell that I am instinctively drawn to.  Painting on this medium gives me a rare serenity, allowing me to be creative with color and design in a very special way."

Joso says: 

"Eighteen years ago, I decided I wanted to be a painter, and the first painting I did was of a sunset.  Now I paint sunsets on shells, and it is one of our most popular designs.  It still inspires me, and I am glad to see how much our customers enjoy them."
